i like playing cs. but its the only one i've tried. i havn't done any online gaming for it, i live in a place where the internet comes from satellite so the ping is crappy

I still enjoy a game of Counter-strike now and then.. hell if my computer could play ANY opengl game I'd be happy.. :/

So more and more people play counter-strike.. because.. it's.. popular..

so that's the ONLY thing that attract people to counter-strike.. the fact that it's popular..

the WHOLE time counter-strike has been alive, the only reason why people play it, is because it's popular..

The only gripe I have with it is how the only weapons ever used are usually the MP5, USP, Glock, AK, Colt and AWP.

And the fact that the game is now just becoming popular and how people sit there explaining to me how awesome it is. I've played it since it came out, and quit on and off for the next couple years, it gets boring. TFC will always be the best in my mind.

Lets see here, I use the USP and either of the two shotguns usually, traditionally the cheaper 'boom' shotty. If I want a machine gun, I go FNP90, more rounds, more damage. If I'm sniping, I go Scout. Period. I can move the same speed and hit relatively easily with the scout. Other machine guns? Sig, and the CT version of it, who's name I can't recall. Its always good to have a psuedo sniper rifle.

As for the Glock and USP being 'the only weapons ever used', they ARE the starting pistols. I know of at least one friend who prefers the Deagle to either, as it has more 'punching' power.

Pretty much because they're probably the most effective weapons in the game especially when you factor in cost. It's not exactly the fault of the game itself but more as a result of clan competition having an effect on the pubbing scene in general.

The USP is my personal sidearm of choice. AK absolutely rocks for me and it's the assault weapon of choice (and to see what Heaton does with it is AMAZING), colt comes in a close second because it doesn't quite have the accuracy and power of an AK. AWP is my sniper rifle of choice simple because of the power behind it and I have yet to see the Scout come out on top *consistently* in an AWP vs Scout duel.

We might've met there, I tend to hop on to a wide variety of servers ever so often when at a comic shop. Sadly, my skills are rusting due to disuse... I used to play just about every day!

I would join up, but I like to have my buddy also play, and he is banned from a large amount of servers for faults unattributed to him (It has to do with Sven Coop and it screwing him up the buttocks.).

Wow... I never knew so many people didn't like Counter-Strike. That happens to be my fav FPS. I have also gotten into mapping for that game. I love it. Although some other names for it could also be Camper-Strike and Complainer-Strike seeing thats what all the people online seem to do anyway, complain and camp like a bunch of retards, thats why I use bots

But I still love it. If you wanna play me sometime, just let me know. I'm not too hot at it though but i'll give it a try, bots get boring after a while.
