yes, thanks spoon, i never knew exactly how the ascii scheme worked. I knew it was like really high numbers for some reason, with the weird characters at the start. Confused the hell out of me.

binary is just a base 2 numbering system, just as decimal is base 10. we all use decimal, generally, because its a lot more convenient and not so long to write or say
for example:
decimal: 293
binary: 100100101
..and, hexidecimal (base 16): 125
use ur calculator on the computer. scientific mode, see the 4 little 3 letter words up top left? theyre base systems. hex = dexidecimal, dec = decimal, oct = octal (base 8 ), bin = binary (base 2)
oh, and Myx: 12594950582288575204? thats what my calc gave me, although it may have chopped a bit off it
