I used to have a stuffed doggy toy, which i called bibio (after bibliotheek, dutch for library. i started reading at a very young age.) It got burnt on a candle around christmas one time, nothing bad, just a bit fur burnt off. I dunno where he is, but he's probably around somewhere in the attic.

Hands down best line of toys ever made. Transformers genration 1. I still have all of mine. Half of them are in a box somehwere in the basement and the rest are here in my dorm room. Including the Gun megatron and Jetfire. I' am still on the lookout for my optimus prime. I may just break down and ebay the thing

OOOHH!!! I had those. The ones that went from a flying car to a plane with big wheels and stuff?

I don't remember any flying cars in Transformers. M.A.S.K. had flying cars in it though, and the vehicles did transform to an extent... I don't remember the show too clearly though, it didn't last very long.

I feel a tinge of skepticism at Lith's comments... it's hard for me to imagine someone actually doing those things. However, I have known my fair share of geniuses, and Mensa-brights - and well, Mensa-brights tend to be common-sense dull. Maybe it's not so far off, then. Truth is supposed to be stranger than fiction. I'm just glad I didn't live in a dorm with your friend and a policy of shared cooking duties.

I've heard lots of talk about how we should all beware of Lith - maybe Lith's friends are even more dangerous?

Dammit - I just realized... I think the converstation has moved on far past what Lith was saying earlier... stupid me for not reading the whole string before commenting on something. Somehow I didn't notice there was still a page or two of posts to read yet...

*flowbug goes and pours some flammable liquid into a water bottle, takes a big swig, and makes some plastic pie.

Anyway...

When I was little, I loved dinosaurs. My aunt once gave to me a stuffed stegosaurus (my favorite type of dinosaur)... I named him Diney, because I was like 4 or 5 and hadn't learned a flair for the creative yet. I remember that I wanted to have his name reflect that he was a dinosaur, but didn't want to elude to the Flintstone's Dino... however, I used to get pissed because my family members would call him Dino anyway. I guess because the names are so similar, and it's a more familiar title. Or maybe they just liked watching my face turn red. Yeah.

Diney (who I still have) is about 3 feet long from tip to tail... so it was actually bigger than I was when it was given to me! I could barely hold it.

Isoprophyl Alcohol, most likely.
Glycerine would do it too

This is my second favorite toy. Cheetah (creatively named) I got her when I was 10 and still sleep with her.

Damn. That's adorable. I'm tempted to make a comment about how I'd like to have a favorite toy like that, in reference to MissCheetah, instead of the stuffed toy... but I'm perfectly happy with my girlfriend, so I'm not allowed to make those comments anymore.

Hey, that brings up a thought, though... she's not from childhood, but my favorite thing to cuddle with when I go to bed nowadays is my sweetiepie. She's like 50 times better than a stuffed animal.

well dunno how they are called. It was a kid's cartoon with some little creatures like snails....that one had no legs and he was jumping all the time. Well i had him when i was a 2 year old? something like that. It had a flashlight inside and it was glowing when i hugged it. AFter some time i took the flashlight out and plaied with it. Finally broke it and lost it. But i still have the thingy stil. It's SO cute

I have three teddy bears. I think I got Pinky when I was born. Pinky is a pink bear with a nifty rattle inside. No idea when I got Brownie, who happens to be a brown bear with no rattle. For some reason he always wears a slightly too large sweater (I don't know wear that came from, either). And my cowboy bear has no name, although sometimes I refer to him as KevJay. I got him for Christmas.

I also have a rabbit that my grandfather gave me when I was really little. I'm not sure what his name is, but 'rabbit' is in there somewhere.

And then there's the lobster! Yes, I have a lobster, creatively named 'Mr. Lobster' and I have no idea when I got him. I think I heard from my mother that my uncle gave him to me, though. Why anyone would give someone else a toy lobster is beyond me, though.

Wait... is that Glo-Worm from Glo-Friends by any chance?

I have Glo Clutterbug and Glo Doodle Bug... I sorta wanted to collect them all when I was little but my parents did a darn good job of not spoiling me. :shifty:

edit - Gah, ninja posted! I'm talking about lifedeath's toy.

edit2 - Are you kidding? I would give a kid a toy lobster any day.

I loved Transformers... in fact, I thought it was so cool that I could transform the little toys with ease, and they completely confused most of the adults I knew. However, those are amung the kinds of toys like matchbox cars, GI Joes, and Ninja Turtles... where I had so many of them that no one single toy was my favorite.

The stuffed dinosaur was something I was given before I was old enough to play with Transformers (they didn't have the big, simple, soft plastic ones they have for 3 year olds nowadays)... and since I only had one stuffed dinosaur that was as big as I was, it became more sentimental. The Transformers and such just kicked ass, and were more fun to play with... but didn't really mean as much.

though it's not much of a toy..I made it, I still have it, and I love it. It's my own hand made action figure. Nothing fancy mind you, but it's a a Timberwolf made out of popsicle sticks and carefull cutting with a dremel tool.
