Well Lith there are so many programs for Linux, well it's amazing. If you want a good replacement try Gimp(Gimp isn't much different from using photoshop). And as for IE, well you have alot of choices in browsers, you can use Konqueror(browser that comes with KDE) or a ton of others. Or if you still want to use IE, just install wine and then use it to install IE. Hell I've had alot of success running programs such as that. For html, if you're used to using Dreamweaver, then you should try Quanta. I prefer to use a plain text editor though myself, it's less confusing. I've found that all the programs I used in windows had an equvilant in Linux.
Anywho I have 40 odd some gigs of data to sort, organize, and all the like. I'm probably going to lose my mind sometime soon....if I haven't already that is. @_@ X.x;;;;
Watashi no pantsu wa doko desu ka?! X.x;;

"And replaced AIM and ICQ with Trillian... and got rid of Musicmatch."
1 - i LOVE musicmatch. i've been using it since like 99, and never had any problems with it. imo its the best mp3 player/ripper/converter/burner
2 - i simply don't like trillian.

Just because life sucks, it doesnt mean you have to care.
thanks but i'm very happy with what i do use...
given my specs i don't think its a problem if they actually take up resources there's enough ram to go around...

Ick. Simply Ick. It's bloatware. It's slow, it's fugly, and had several "stable" releases that were known to harm the pc with it's additions to the registry. To me MMJukebox is like the black plague. It should be destroyed.1 - i LOVE musicmatch. i've been using it since like 99, and never had any problems with it. imo its the best mp3 player/ripper/converter/burner
Trillian has it's issues but overall it's a good package, well trillian PRO is. It's badass, but it still has some interface issues.2 - i simply don't like trillian.
