Custom Computer Cases?

Post by Ender_Wiggin » Sun Jul 20, 2003 7:01 pm

Well I'm looking for a custom case and so far I've found This as the one I want.

But I still am looking into one option. I want a customized case. AKA the Japanese Symbol for Knowledge cut into the side of a computer case...but I don't know where I'd get that done. If anybody has any information on this, I'd really appreciate it. I also have to find the Japanese Symbol for Knowledge...

For the japanese symbol do you want it cut out or painted on? If you wanted painted on just make the symbot on plastic/paper/metal and cut it out and then paint it on. If you want to cut it out, then get a dremel and have the lines for the symbol drawn onto the case and use the dremel to cut it out. You could also have it laser cut, but that would not be cheap unless you knew someone. Maybe you could try http://www.voyeurmods.com and send in your design and they will mod it for you, but I do not know what they charge.

Depends on where you find it. They could be a sale or what not, but I think they are around $60. You could use a jigsaw to cut it, but since you are going to have a symbol and have detail it may be a bit messy or you will need a lot of patience. The case that you chose is made of steel, so you may have to buy some reinforced cutting discs instead of the standard cutting discs. Go to http://www.homedepot.com, http://www.lowes.com, or use google to search on a dremel or a rotary tool.

No, if it was, I would have posted photos, and, undoubtedly, rubbed it in your face.

I must admit, that is quite a sweet mod...now, what I need is some cash to build my ultimate case mod. Tux, with a fold out belly to house the computator.

All plugs of course will be hidden under one of his wings.

Now that'd be cool. 8)
