What's your monitor resolution?

Post by Infin8Cyn » Tue Jul 22, 2003 4:45 pm

1280x1024 at work.
Was running my system @ home at 2048, but had issues as Divx Movies had to be enlarged so much, so I dropped back to 1600x1200, and sometimes for lower Qual movies, 1280x1024

I have a flat panel, so while its neat and all it can't handle all that high of resolution. Still, its not like I need the resolution to be any higher than it already is, which is 1280x1024.

I'm running 1024 x 768, since my monitor isn't very good and can't handle much...

back in my day all we had was 640X480, uphill, both ways, in four feet of snow, with no shoes! And we were happy with it! Dagnabbit!

I run 1600x1200x32, but I once discovered that Windows 98 has a hidden, non-accessible setting for 320x240x1.

Yes, that is 320x240, black and white. No grays. It was really, really weird. I found it when I was arguing with drivers, and I rebooted to show them who was boss, and that display came up.

Apparently, I wasn't the boss.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

I don't really feel the need to use anything over 1024 x 768.

Back to the topic...
1024*768. My monitor won't support higher.

Should I get a plasmascreen, or not? Hmm...

SPARCstation: 1152x900 on two monitors with 2304x1800 logical desktop.
SGI: 1280x1024 on one monitor.

All three monitors are 20" Sun-branded Sony Trinitrons. I kinda like
the fact that these monitors don't work at 640x480. I'm not even
sure they bother with 800x600. They should work at 1600x1200 if
the correct sense-pins are shorted, but I haven't felt the need so far.

I'm at 1024x768. I'm surprised how many people still run on 800x600, though - most of my friends and family sort of think it strange that one would want it any bigger than that.

did you know that 1280 by 1024 is not a real 4x3 resolution, you know, 320x240? the real 4x3 is 1280x920 or somthing like that. thats why i have it set at that resolution, so when i maximize tv, i dont get black bars. deally YO!

EDIT: Non accessable, martin? http://www.nullsoft.com/free/jres/
