985 How Big is this Convention?

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

985 How Big is this Convention?

Post by ShirtNinjaNamelessChibi » Thu Jul 24, 2003 7:59 am

Yeah, what Greg and Lizzie are saying is completly true. The Convention Center this year was Opened to its fullest. I mean I would've been glad to have something to speed my movements through the Con. I mean it was just such a long walk to the other side, I wouldn't be surprised for a cab being run there.

And the same goes for the ATM. It's like a Line for a Movie or a Brand New Ride or the Line for the Next Final Fantasy Game.

By the end of the Con my feet were Black, Blue and Covered in Blisters... though For a Shirt Ninja I must under go such challenges!

I almost felt sorry for some people, like the 3-5 Guys wearing Plate, Chain and Leather Armor and Carrying Claymores... course I said Almost. Though they were still cool and very neat, I think they were almost dying in the heat... then again same for me, it was hot wearing a shirt on my head for three whole days. I think I'm Oxygen Deprived... I'm good though... I think.

Damnit beat em to the punch here...Oh well at least the concept I started here is catching on. Maybe I should make a quick rule topic describing general format of how a topic should go etc. , etc...

Anyways I didn't even notice the fine print on the first read through. Not the funniest thing I have read (Especially after yesterdays comic, but funny none the less. BTW what exactly does that sign on their booth say, It is hard to read THAT fine print, even though it is 4 in the morning here...
Why not hop over to the FFRPG project.

Fred Will Be Back.

At certain times during the Con Either fred or greg would leave for their own things. usually it was food or bathroom from what I rememeber. Fred though vanished the most I believe... mainly when Fred Vanished I'm sad to say the crowds died down... a tad. Well atleast the line for Pictures and Signatures for Fred died down a little. personally I was just happy boht of them came this year. I mean if they didn't come it might've been quite the boring Con, with them their a lot of Interesting people and things happened. Shirt Ninja's Galore appeared and joined the Legion. A Little Kid Dressed a Boo holding a "Have you seen Him" sign was there, Miho Cosplayers, Some of the Nekobox Crew, Cliff, just nice things.

plus a rabid fangirl I was forced to 'calm' as she was about to Glomp Fred from over the table and take down the booth. She had what was coming to her...

But Yeah, their were lots of things that I liked this year... except the Con length, that was the only thing I didn't like. length and heat.... and parking... evil.. evil... parking.

Yare yare. WEll that's what the sign said anyway.

Try walking the convention in Miho boots, or Nina wedge heel sandals. Owwwwwwwwww..... ;___; It was still awesome, though. When we walked into the exibition area, we all just kinda... stopped. And looked. And looked. And looked. It was quite overwhelming. ^^;;

Yeah I agree V'lyandra, if I was holding bag when I walked in I might've dropped them and fall to my knees. Their was just SOOO much their it was just soo cool. I mean you know you could've missed Something on your first run, and even your second. I know I did.

Though I'm sorry to hear about your feet, I know you must've felt more pain then more people their... though their was this one person I saw walking barefoot through the Con... kinda freaked me briefly.

The scariest ones are the cosplayers who wear 4" spike heel boots. Insane, I tell ye! I can hardly walk in those, much less walk around a convention all day in them.

Who the heck was that big fella as a too-silent shirt ninja? At least I think it was a fella. Hard to tell with ninjas.

And did ANYONE actually stand in the line to see Sam Rami? That was INSANE. The line for that Tata Raider chick wasn't even that long.

TWB, do you think you could maybe crop those pics a bit? Some people here (not me) are still running 800x600.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.
