Okay... another question for my friend (I think I"m going to make him sign up here for himself! ~Laughs~)
There is a Geforce graphics card he wants and says it has DDR RAM... his question... does the computer ALSO have to have DDR in order for the graphics card to work?

Course not. The ram on the video card is completely indepentent of the RAM ont he computer. I'm pretty sure the video card doesn't even have to be connected to a motherboard that supports DDR, but not sure about that. I know he most likely has to have an AGP slot though. Might wanna wait for someone else on this, as I'm not 100% sure.

No it does not need to have ddr system ram. A vid card with ddr ram will work just fine with non ddr system memory.

If you want further proof, my current computer uses SDR for the system and DDR for video.
