Yet Another Question For Greg Dean( Not Really... )

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Yet Another Question For Greg Dean( Not Really... )

Post by RyuuNoSenshi » Fri Jul 25, 2003 2:13 am

Reading through the forum I've noticed alot "Questions For Greg", and I'm wondering why they just don't e-mail him. I personnaly never get any replies from webcomic artists that I e-mail, so I just stopped bothering(They probably don't reply cause they're busy, or my e-mail is nothing but mindless blathering, and since I'm usually too caffeinated when I write the e-mail...I can never be sure). But at anyrate this isn't a question, but rather a shamless way to gain attention to my post(but while having the "Not Really..." as to not be deleted by the admins *looks around in a paranoid manner then hides in a trash can*).

Anyway, I love Real Life, it's one of my favorite webcomics, and one of the few I gave up precious hours of sleep, and food for(Yes I read the entire thing in one sitting). My friend introduced me to it a couple of years ago or so by showing me various strips. Several strips caught my attention(ones where he was going to attack people with various swords). My first thought was "Ahhh my kinda person". And so I've kept up with as much as possible. I even was part of the whole forum thing when it was still on EZboards(believe that is the place). But I'm never so terribly good with forums, I always put off posting stuff cause I forget, or cause nobody ever seemed to respond. Or maybe it's cause I write ungodly long posts like this one(note that on my screen resolution, it's a very small rant mwhahaha.. I love my 22 inch monitor).

Anyway....to you, Greg, great creator of such things as Stuff, and Real Life, I say if you love swords, go to http://www.bugei.com/ for they have some awesome swords. They maybe a bit pricey, but they could cut through a car engine block, so I'd say it's worth it. They also have bokkens, books, Japanese armor, and all the like. Their swords and armor are all made in the traditional Japanese way(forge folding, which produces the strongest blades known to man).

Anyway...if anyone actually reads this, my hats off to you...wait...I'm not wearing a hat. Cursed monkeys always stealing my hats!*shakes fist* Well it's time to go play Sim Earth..*mummbles* alright you don't wanna evolve, they you get nuked!*nukes some bacteria and cackles like a madman*
Me: Alright I'll stand here...try to crush me with the...*the Warthog lands on top of me*
Matt: Done and done.
Me: Ahh! My Corpse is stuck in the tire!

I actually got a reply from Greg on an email I sent him once (Crowd: Oooooo...). Ya, he gave me some cool pointers on my comic (Crowd: Ahhhhh....). And then I never tried emailing him again, because I had achived the impossible (Crowd: Yaaaaa!!!)

Unless you're actually lying!
I see the light in the sand
Time to find out who I am
Looking back to see where I stand
See my reflection change
Nothing ever stays the same
