for future refence keep an eye the sites for you wireless because its so often that there is a new standard that just works better

So often? 802.11g was just finalized, 802.11a came out last year, and 802.11b was finalized the year before. There are no other 802.11 specs relating to speed or connectivity coming out. 802.11e has to do with QoS over existing connections, which will not help speed or connectivity itself, 802.11h has to do with European power control requirements in the 5GHz band (which is the realm of 802.11a), and 802.11i is improved security. The only other wireless standards are 802.15, which is Bluetooth, and 802.16, which has to do with wireless broadband.

If you're talking about monitoring the sites for firmware or drivers, that's a different story, and yes, he should be, but still needs to be careful about firmware that doesn't close bugs or security holes and which does not fix the specific problem he has.

yeah sorry standards was the wrong word sorry i was finishing a 15 1/2 hr coding friendize cause my major is due in 2 days( yeah i got school off to do it)so i wasn't thinking well
