His second post is before his first. Something to do with one using local settings to the reader and the folds using local settings of the poster?Re: Edits, Deletions, and Blatant Abuses of Power

Thanks, Jamie, for puting a hole in my head.
As a result of my new hole-in-head, I had the motivation to merge THAT is how we do it in Japan,... with PIng Pong to the extreme!!!!; thus creating one of the deepest necros in recent memory.
As a matter of fact, I believe there is a post in this very thread noting that I was the 5th person to post that link back in the day.
But you can blame Jamie for all that now. With the hole in the head and all.

Removed an inflammatory post (which also happened to be a pointless necro) from Copyright violations.
What would you change?

Odd things happening with the post folding:
Sloth: Am I a year behind already?

February was some lyrics or quotes month or something. I don't even remember what year all this was.

Yes, it seems the notations in the date thread are based on local user settings. I wondered when that one would crop up...
Maybe a quick-fix would be to tack the poster's on the timezone to the end of the date... though it may not even need a fix at all (just a minor annoyance maybe)

Not without a huge reworking of the template codebase. Every mention of a fontsize (which is almost every single line in each file in each template) would require a change, not to mention changes to the profile page and database.
Are you having difficulty with anything?

If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

Just thought I would mention this, I saw a new template up, the subblack, so I tried it, and I just thought I would comment that the quote boxes are a little hard to read, at least on the monitor that I'm using right now. Yes, I know I can always go back to one of the oter templates, but I just thought I'd bring that up.

I would limit the number of smileys to 4 per post. They drive me MAD when people post about 50 of them, or at the end of every sentence.
I don't mind them in general, and they're good when used appropriately, so I want want to disable them (if I can) and I don't want to see : sigh : : lol : all over my page if I do disable them (if it does that). Any thoughts on this?

I don't think it'd really be possible to limit the number of smileys someone posts. disabling smileys might be possible, just really an alteration of the script that translates the smileys. Instead of having it display the image instead of the text, have it display nothing instead of the text. The only problem there is that sometimes someone accidentally types in a smiley code into a sentence (usually with the use of parentheses) and that would make what they type even less readable than having a smiley thrown into their post. Because with a smiley you can tell "Oh, stupid smiley. They meant this..." but if it doesn't show up at all then some things might get confusing.
Re: What would you change?
The green mod names in the (current) default color scheme are really hideous.
