Fixer, if it wasn't a Mac monitor it wouldn't be nearly as good. Apple makes the best LCD monitors out there, plus they're damn shiny looking too!

Oh, and is that an MX700 too? Hod damn you, I want your system!

Yeah, but you can't plug a Mac monitor into a PC system, can you? I was under then understanding that you cannot which is why I was rueing the fact that it was a Mac monitor, not because I think badly of Macs. My next laptop will be a Mac.

Fixer:
you CAN plug a mac monitor into a PC with a DVI equipped vid card and an ADC-DVI Adapter
works just fine :) i use aprogram called powerstrip to add in a few custom resolutions (optimal and widescreen) and i aslo use it to add driver file that lets windows detect it as "Apple Cinema Display" rather than a plug and play monitor.
just because apple has a proprietary connector didnt stop me from wanting and being apple to hook up a 20" Cinema Display

Spanks:
yup it's an mx700 :) i love this mouse. best wireless mouse, ever!

oh and if anyone wanted to know...the display is great with games..no ghosting at all and i get full screen resolution with all my games..ie quake..unreal2...maxpayne..etc

if you guys are interested in my specs check my post over here

iMav
the shuttle xpc is awesome...have you tried one out before?
It has everything i need
firewire, usb2.0, ethernet, digital optical out, agp slot, pci slot,
and its performance is on par with that of a regular desktop...not only that but its GREAT for lanning. the Small form factor that it comes in is GREAT for transportation...theres nothing else i need with this machine...AND i have room to fit another HD...

so can i ask you why you asked why i have one? :) unless that is, youd rather see my cinema display paired with a g4 cube or a g4 tower?

hey zeerow

the version i have is the sk41g model which is for AMD chips
a better version for AMD machines is the SN41G2 where the whole frontplate is alluminum and has the nforce2 onboard gfx chip looks really nice...they sell these as barebones ranging from 250-350
they have versions for intel as well...and i know a few places sell em as complete systems with everything installed...of course for a price...i built this one myself from my old existing desktop

for more info on shuttle xpc's check out here

i also post at the only good shuttle forum site that i know of here
i hope i was of help
:D
