so what do you all think of western digitals new raptor drive. i think a couple of these in a raid config is pretty badass. i got to see them in action and man are they fast. if your an online gamer then you'd love these, i mean battlefeild 1942 maps load in like 14 secs rather then 2 mins

but yeah anyways there new there fast and i reccommend them to any and all. :)

StorageReview has numbers up showing it to be the fastest SATA drive out there -- so far. The tech is still early, but yeah, WD is at the forefront at the moment.

velocitymicro.com sells prebuilt systems and one of theres the rapor se uses these drives and was rated as fast as hell and stable as hell by maximum pc magazine. only they are a little expensive but it has alot of features.

note as well as if your motherboards doesn't have an sata plugin for the new raptor drives, they come included with an adapter card that plugins inot a pci slot. so no worries people :)
