Which is why I clamp down on them. I don't like scripts. Some of them I genuinely despise. Your random script is going to get some people kicked if they keep abusing it, PieGuy and Duke among them.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

InvalidUser (SothThe69th) is the one who made it, and he kept telling me that there was a switch built in that enabled ops to turn it off if people were abusing it and I wasn't around... I'll ask Soth about it and see if he got it fixed (Last I remember it wouldn't work) and until that's taken care pf, I'll turn it off.

I hate scripts.

Also, the only time I will state that a netsplit has occurred is when there are new people in the channel who haven't experienced a split before, and they don't understand what has happened.

Which is fair.

I don't mind if someone has an MP3 script -- if it's used on cue and not automatically. Likewise, if you have a CS script (or whatever game), DO NOT server-hop, or you're going to annoy me enough to boot you.

I don't care if the channel is dead. Believe me, we've seen much worse. Ask Smaointe about the time it seemed dead and I decided to fill it for an hour. It wasn't pretty.

amlthrawn, that is hardly a fair comparison. Car accidents of that size usually kill people. Death is not amusing in the least. No one dies in a netsplit.
Fair enough. Offense, noted. However, I didn't the gentleman I was quoting was saying that car accidents were funny.
My heartfelt apologies to anyone who was offended.
No apologies necessary for me. I wasn't offended. Just thought the comparison was silly. :P

Emma must have been on galaxy. Most users from here connect to gryphon, so to her everyone else split away.

Given how little you are, seeing you attempt that would probably amuse me to no end.

Does anyone have any telephone books I can borrow?

I didn't know Emma was really that little. Hmm.... I should make a point to find out more of these things.

But no Emma, no telephone books. We tall people don't need them. We just stand on our toes and shout above the short crowd to find who we need.

Couldn't you use the one you drive with? :P

That was so not nice. :P

To Emma:

Your description just reminded me of an instance when I was 14.

I was almost as big as I am now (6'2" and about 160 lbs at the time) and I had pissed off my stepfather to no end. One of the things in life that brought me joy at the time as he was a dickhead of phenomenal proportions. He was about... 5'5" and a bit overweight (probably about 180 lbs), balding hair, glasses, etc. He tried to strangle me, even put his hands around my neck and did his best to squeeze. I looked at him, this look of hatred and anger in his eyes, and calmly responded "What are you trying to do?" He could not even get enough hand strength to hurt me, let alone strangle me. My sister, who always watched out for me as I do for her, proceeded to hit him in the back with something (I didn't notice what, I was too amused by his frustration). He turned his attention towards her and I just grabbed him from behind in a headlock. My sister ran out the door and I just tossed my stepfather aside and went outside to make sure she was going to be ok.

You can see why I found it amusing. Not to mock you, but because it brought up a memory. Everything ended up for the best, he left that day and did not come back for a few days. At the time, my mother was around the state teaching emergency medicine so my sister and I just took care of ourselves while the folks were away. A happy ending, sort of.
