What's for Lunch
Re: What's for Lunch
I personally define it as my mid awake period meal. I vary from 3-6 eatings per day (depending on if I'm "on" my diet or not). My day starts at noon and ends at 4am as well. So, for me lunch occurs sometime around 5-6pm usually.

kizba and I had some homemade chicken fajitas, leftover pasta salad from the previous afternoon, watermelon, and root beer. Gwen had much the same, minus the root beer. Amazing how tasty fajitas are when you consider how EASY they are to make.

Every day for lunch for the last month I have the same thing, either a 6" subway sandwich or a weight watchers meal replacement bar. Yeah, I know, not very exciting, but I'm on a diet!

Uuuh, lunch is whatever I can find. Currently I'm making a beeline for the porridge and bread for toast (with marmite). Drink-wise it'll be a glass of juice and a cup of tea (milk, strong, two sugars).
That's if I can be bothered to get it or wait until someone comes home and offers to make lunch.

Re: What's for Lunch
I have to say that I'm really spoiled in this regard. My wife lovingly packs me a ploughman's lunch (or a rough equivalent thereof) every day I'm at work. Decently healthy stuff, and I have enough room to eat dinner when I get home.

Tea with milk is wrong and evil.quinnykins wrote:Uuuh, lunch is whatever I can find. Currently I'm making a beeline for the porridge and bread for toast (with marmite). Drink-wise it'll be a glass of juice and a cup of tea (milk, strong, two sugars).

Unless it's Chai.

It's not wrong and evil actually. Tea with milk is quite good and natural.Blaze wrote:Tea with milk is wrong and evil.

Re: What's for Lunch
What I find gigglesome is when I'm in America they ask if you want the tea hot or cold. If I wanted it cold I would have asked for iced tea. By default tea comes hot. One assumes.
But likewise, it's personal preference. I have no objections to drinking tea without milk (this normally happens when I run out and can't be bothered going to the shop to buy more). I find it helps alleviate the bitterness of some brands. Favourite being Yorkshire Tea.

Or you just don't like the taste of milk or coffee without milk in it...Blaze wrote:Milk is only needed in tea and coffee if you've got some darn lousy stuff.

I'm having a bowl of curried pumpkin soup with noodles in it & a piece of quiche with a can of Pepsi Max.
Yummy.
