No, Iggz, you are not a bad person for having laughed. It was funny yet sad at the same time.

I dont really see how its sad...

The bear wandered into a suburban area and climbed up a tree. Animal Control needed to remove the bear. They had the choice between A) Get a rifle and splater its brains all over the leaves or B) Get a traquilizer and cusion the bears landing. They chose B to save the bears life. Also due to their efforts the bear was uninjured and probably didnt feel any pain due to the tranquilizer. Not to mention that the bear will probably be released back to the wild.

No lives lost. No injuries. Everyone goes home happy. Brings laughter to people all around the world. Truely sad indeed.

I just think it was kinda dopey to use the trampoline. Maybe it seemed like the logical thing to cushion the fall.. but I think most people could predict what happened next. Maybe they would have been better off not having anything at all - at least he wouldn't have fallen on his head. Probably lucky he didn't snap his neck.

Maybe they'd never jumped on a tramp before or something.

I'm not knocking them - at least they tried. I do wonder about the logic though.

I've watched it a couple of times, and he doesn't actually land on his head, more of his shoulder, but yeah... apparently they don't have too many physics majors out there...

Craig is having so much fun with this video clip; I am inclined to believe that he will show the clip again on tonight's episode of The Late Late Show, probably more than once.

That bear did look like it hit the ground pretty hard but hey, it was only half the fall it would have had if it had fallen all the way. I do have to admit I busted up laughing at the piece. It just doesn't seem real...Especially when you add in the clapping crowd...

IT's like the cat video. Obviously, they knew the cat liked to bat at anything hanging from the fan. I highly doubt they ever thought the cat would get stuck to whatever it was batting at like that and go flying around.

Sometimes what seems to be a good idea is just....... not.

I was cautious on laughter before due to all the animal rights protests being voiced on the topic, but after getting woken up at 8 am and driving home on 4 hours of sleep, I think its fucking hilarious.

And if you're offended, look at it this way: If the bear is dumb enough to get stuck in a tree in the middle of suburbia, a backflip onto his head probally can't hurt him too much at that point.
