Hurricanes...

Post by dolphincheddar » Sun Sep 14, 2003 7:07 pm

So, how many people on the east coast of the U.S. are worried about Hurricane Isabel? According to WITN, she may well hit eastern NC next weekend, and of course it's going to hit Florida, I mean, what sensible hurricane doesn't attack Florida on its way to North Carolina?
And I'm sure there have been some, but I don't keep up with Florida hurricane damage.
Okay, my original question, who is worried about Isabel?

Does anyone remember that book about this Isabel person who ate people? She like turned this one person into milk and drank her. Freaky. With the hurrican having the same name and such.

Is it a good book? Title? It might be good to read, should the hurricane come this way.

Not at all. There's no way the thing will hit Massachusetts, so it won't be affecting me.

Oh I'm very worried. Every time a hurricane hits NC it comes straight for Indiana at full strength.

Projected Path as of Today

Not that there's any guarantee that the map is very accurate, but at the moment it appears Florida is a-ok while the little states to the north may get a battering.

Well as long as it gets away from MD and NJ before Saturday then I am fine. I have to drive to MD next weekend for my sister's bridal shower.

My thoughts exactly, Idiot'sPride. But it may or may not go that way, so don't get your hopes up for it hitting your state.

I live in the Bahamas. On Friday, kids in my school were actually hoping it'd come by us, so we'd miss school. Appearantly loss of life, limb, and property were irrelevant.

I think we'll be fine. We've been through Fran and Floyd(plus Dennis, can you say FLOODING?) and Andrew (well, not me) and Hazel (again, not me) and we've all survived. And the hogs know how to get to the hoghouse roofs. :P

Let me get this straight, Jonn. They actually wanted to risk death and lose several vacation days? You did set them straight, right?

Then set them straight while weilding a sharp, sharp sword.
