My interest, when I have time as I am a full time student and work full time on top of having a family- Computers, Reading books of all sorts- fic and nonfic, politics, current events, camping, hiking, inline aggressive street skating, music of all sorts (except most pop). Geez...I don't know...other stuff I guess...
I found RLC over two years ago while looking up some computer stuff on the web. Been obsessed ever since. Shirt Ninja was on my desktop for a long time but he was replaced, recently, by Wolfwood from Trigun...I've browed the forums occasionally over the past couple years but never ended up posting...Well, here I am...

Well, welcome to RLF... Will you be taking the standard greeting or WHAT'S IN THE MYSTERY BOX?

I think I'll choose the mystery box and see if its different from last time...

*smacks you for calling it rollerblading*....Its like the people who call all softdrinks "coke" as in "I'd like a coke, Dr Pepper please" (yes, that is an actual quote from my fast food days).
Besides, I'm not the dumb guy in the bike shorts and tank top skating around. Nothing wrong with agressive skating...I'd probably take up skateboarding too if I could ever get the hang of the damn things....

That's one of my problems with most rollerbladers. They won't try anything they can't learn fast. There are a good 8 people at my local skatepark who say they gave up skateboarding because it was too hard, and rollerblading was much easier. As for the box, I'd tell you, but, well, Calus threw you into a river. So, uh, ya.

Hey...honestly, I can understand your hatred of most bladers...I don't like their attitude towards other skaters...Now not to deligitimize your statement but I honestly spent a large ammount of time trying to learn to board. My problem wasn't that I couldn't do tricks on em or anything like that. I massively suck. I can't even make the things go. When I said I'm uncoordinated I meant it.

I am actually old enough to remember skateboarding before there were rollerblades.

I am 30, can still skateboard, and would get a kick out of a rollerblader who tried pointing out the benefits of rollerblading to me.

Blader: *I* don't have to lug a board around. I can just glide where I want. Don't have to worry about losing that stupid board or anything.
Fixer: Really? You have something else entirely to watch out for.
Blader: What's that?
Fixer: *pushes rollerblader over* Assholes who stand on their feet instead of tiny wheels. Get a board.

My last word on the subject: Inline Skating and Skateboarding are both challenging and fun recreational activities. Of the two, I freely admit that skateboarding is the more challenging. I do feel that the animosity between skateboarders and inliners is just plain dumb and I feel that both parties should take it upon themselves to find something more worthwhile to be pissed about...

But....

But....

Tipping over inline skaters is like a skateboarder's version of cowtipping. Don't take away our fun!

Okay...If the ones you are tipping are that easy, by all means...
Now, if they evade the tipping or even several tippings...Let em be...I can justify your actions by saying that by tipping them you are really helping them by improving their reflexes and balance.
