The Jetsons. Flying cars that compact into briefcases, it would be really easy to lose stuff. Plus when your briefcase is stolen and the police ask what was in it you could say something like "My Porche."

I don't know what the hell I'm saying.

depends on what world your talking about when you talk about adams. You can be referring to hitchhikers guide, dirk gently, or last chance to see. In last chance to see, it is our world in every sense of it and how we percieve it. With dirk gently, he takes a few liberties, but other then that it's the same world. with the guide books, it's for the most part the same with a few very key differences.

personally, i'd like to be able to hire dirk gently, though the 300 pounds a day plus expenses is rather...pricy....he doesent exactly tend to pressure clients for payment :p

I dunno, do you get to choose where in this new world you end up? Cause in most of them, it sucks to be a peon.

I'd say Shadowrun's Sixth World, or possibly Earthdawn (except for that whole, no matter what you do thing, the 4th world is going to end thing).

Bladerunner is too depressing, so is Warhammer 40k. Hmm, so Shadowrun, Star Wars, or Robotech.

BattleTech. Or maybe even Naruto, as it's the only anime I have ever liked.

Ever.

ooo...living in the Read or Die world would be cool if you could learn to control paper >.>

Scrapped princess world could be cool too, learn to be a mage and all that.

Out of curiosity, what kind of critter would you want to be in Redwall?

I can’t think of any world I’d really want to be in right at the moment, but I can think of quite a few I wouldn’t want to be in. Dune is right at the top of that list.

What's wrong with Dune? Assuming you mean the universe, if you were somewhat affluent you could travel off-planet to a decent peaceful paradise sort of planet... if you were quite affluent you could also afford to become a melange addict and get all sorts of interesting quasi-psychic insights as well as live for a few hundred years. Not so bad at all, I'd think. Hell, if I were a woman I'd say that Dune might actually be my preferred universe so I could become a Reverend Mother, which would be amazing to say the least.
