So you just want them because they're in movies?
A. The point being that they're superstars and they have many over zealous fans. Meeting them and starting a relationship would be much more difficult because their fame can affect the process. Not to mention that they'd probably be very very picky about who they date; they probably don't want to date anyone even coming close to resembling a fanboy.

B. Actually, because liv tyler was so hot in the aerosmith videos. :)
And that's a pure chauvinistic and male hormone driven thought.
I mean, portman is cute too. This is all about having a certain
level of lust based on the libido (and extension based on fantasy). I'm sure you girls do the same thing.

correct me if my perception is wrong, but I think that you think that us guys are too deep in this whole fantasy thing that we completely become disconnected with reality; "they're movie stars, they're better than normal girls somehow, etc etc".

Let me assure you that I understand that this is not the case. In reality they're probably just normal girls, and that they'll have their own personality issues. I don't know what they're really like. So my knowledge of them is purely from what the media shows.

There's nothing wrong with having a fantasy. I could fantasize about retiring young on to a tropical beach in the south pacific. In this case, it's purely a lustful fantasy.

And the real reality is that I want them for their money!

daemon princess, I think the thing is that (some, not all) girls are truly perfect in movies since they are fictional characters. Real people are never that perfect. Which makes real people all the more interesting. :)
Gee, I sure like TV. And wearing pants.
I'll be going in the September holidays, for about 2 weeks. I'll be sure to stay away from Shinjuku then :D
Cool, pick up a lonely planet... It tells you all the touristy stuff to do.

But if you have time, I can recommend a local bar where lots of expats go. You can meet expats and a few english speaking japanese locals. Some of em will show you around. Take you to all the good clubs, etc. It's "Dirty Nelly's" right outside the Hiroo station on the Hibiya subway line. Make sure you exit the side closer to Ebisu.

I went there way too much. But I'm not sure how it's doing now cause after I left I heard that the landlord had some conflict with the business owner... I think the staff got replaced, etc. I think a lot of the regulars left. But I think some of the old hard core ones still go there.

If you do go visit it, tell me how it was. I'm curious if the place completely died out.

Actually, I'm going on Homestay (a bit like an exchange program) So I'll either be doing what the program says (Tokyo is on it) or going where my host family goes. Hopefully I should be able to stay with my Japanese friend :D

No, quite the opposite. I was saying that these girls are not fantasies, they're real human beings. People were saying they wanted to go to Middle Earth because Liv Tyler is a sample of what the girls are like there or Star Wars because Natalie Portman is an example of a girl from there.

I was merely pointing out that these are both girls in the real world, and that's what girls are already like where you already are. You don't need to go to Middle Earth. They're right here! You silly, silly doughnuts, you.

But before that... Mmmm.... donuts... krispey kreme....

And why do you keep calling a donut anyways?

Depends. If the gates were still open, I'd go with the world from Chrono Trigger, because time travel is very cool. If not, I'd go with .hack//SIGN becasue of the incredibly advanced gaming.

My fantasy world...

Post by blackfrog » Thu Feb 27, 2003 3:13 am

A blend between the Harry Potter series and the White Wolf Mage/Werewolf/Vampire/Changeling universe.

Because seriously, who the hell believes that an evil Moldywort is going to take over all of Britain and the world of magic when you KNOW some enterprising young wizard in the U.S. combined a tommygun with a 100-round clip of ammunition...

"Mortis Morde!"
The young mage unslung the faintly glowing cannon from its place across his back as he leaned against the tombstone. "That was it?"
The evil mage stared at him. "I have slain dozens of wizards and mortals with such spells. I suppose you have a more formidable one?"
The young mage typed in a few letters. Disperal spray - five feet, enough to take out the pathetic minions behind him at the same time, five Obliteration spells, plus four Banishments to the 9th Plane of existence, from whose bourne no traveler ever returned - hell, just getting a one-way ticket took a powerful amount of magic...oh, he was going to be icing him shoulder on this one...
"Yeah, you could say that..." The mage turned around and pointed the twenty-barreled cannon at the evil lord, whose cackling laugh was taken up by the others surrounding him.
"A Muggle weapon?"
"Not really." The young mage smiled for a split second - and a blinding array of red, green, yellow, blue, white, and purple fire exploded from the mouth of his cannon.

Wincing at the pain, he rubbed his shoulder carefully and surveyed the damage. Eighteen wands dangled from his belt, sparking lightly. Fermous would be able to convert them into ammunition fairly easily.

He pointed at the lone minion, who trembled at his feet, gasping, "Master, master" like a mantra.

He kicked hard. "Pft. And they say the old ways are better..."
White Lightning - the drink of the gods. Or at least Bubba Buddha Siddhartha.

What fantasy world would I live

Post by Foxthealaskagirl » Thu Feb 27, 2003 4:44 am

I would live in Gilead, pre-fall, but definatly with Roland in it. Probably join him on his quest too. What can I say, I'm a tower junkie.
Oh Roland blow your horn as you climb the tower, call my name with Cuthbert and Alain's, and I will be with ye.

wtf
theres too many blends
if u like a fantasy world, take the bad w/ the good

i was going to say star wars but ive read how long u travel by ship
from place to place.its weeks to months.even the falcon took time to get
to alderaan.enough for luke to get some rudimentary training.and they got there
after the DS which goes slower than hell.hyperspace travel doesnt make up a lot
of the dif.it seems that they spend most of their time traveling...and
aging.id like to visit, but i wouldnt want to live there.

id choose conan."to live free in the world."
sleep where u want, hunt to eat,to live and die by your own hand.
travel freely,u dont need money or the protection of others (or thier dominion)
to survive.ive seen both the high and low lifestyles.
ive had more money than i know what to do w/
and ive slept on the street, needing to steal bread and lunchmeats from the
grocerey stores to survive.both ends suck.
punk til death

Still, i'd take any anime where the guy is a a total loser, therefore it'd be easier to get the chicks
