Televisions out the yin-yang
I only watch TV for the music channels, the odd cartoon or series, and an occasional documentary.
I can live without it so long as I have a computer hooked up to the net, and a few games to play.
I can see why some people would get annoyed about that I am too. I can understand that in bars having a sport on for you to watch. But you don't need it all over the place. Now in places like Wal-Mart that sell them I can see a wall of TVs on at a time to let people see the size of the TV and how it looks compaired to others. Just how at like Best Buy they have a few rows of computers turned on so that you can see how they work and if it suits you and all.
What I'm talking about is the TVs mounted all over the store blaring advertisements and crap from "the Wal-Mart entertainment network." TVs are starting to replace elevtor music in many stores.

Here in St. Louis, it's difficult to find a fast food restaurant that doesn't have a TV in it. McDonald's is the worst.

Miroku, just to let you know, you can edit your posts to add additional responses. It is very bad form on here to double-post unless you have a VERY long thing to say.
I don't care who's right, who's wrong, or what you meant to say. Only thing I care about is the Truth. If you have it, good, share it. If not, find it. If you want to argue, do it with someone else.
Gravity can't watch much tv most of the time because it gives her headaches. (yes, anime is probably making giant tumors sprout up every where in gravity's head.
; ) but she does like to turn on either CSI or Law & ORder when she gets home from school, as she eats a snack.
But, beyond that, gravity only watches some saterday morning cartoons, on local networks.

That sounds like a problem with your city. I've only ever seen TV's in Portland in the obvious restaraunt's, like Bar and Grills.Miroku, foolish mortal, wrote:Here in St. Louis, it's difficult to find a fast food restaurant that doesn't have a TV in it. Televisions...the curse and blessings of widespread human communication. With the World Trade Center in 2001, I was relieved to have CNN on at my school and while I was out to keep me informed. During the war in Iraq, I wanted to know all about politics..like Blaze was saying. But some shows just have to go! I must admit, sitting at MSU, I find myself addicted to Survivor and the Bachelor. However, work is work and if there is no crisis, then the TV should be off. At the restaurants in my home town, they only showed captions most of the time so that family conversation could still happen at the sports eateries and such. Good concept. Ok, done rambling now...
