Jeez, if it's not wanting to blow up the world, it's wanting to dominate it. These villains these days....

Edit:
I'd like to recomend Daphne in the Brilliant Blue:
Basically It's about a 15 year old girl who has to cope with failing her one chance to pass the exams to get into her dream job, and the job she was betting everything on.

I cannot believe that Spirited away has only been mentioned once in all these pages and near the beginning blah amazing Miyazaki film. Beautiful world, amazing character development, and it sucks you into it, nuff said.
I'm gonna have to mention Metropolis again because there has been a minor oversight. The film is freaking amazing and I personally love it but some dont really like it that much because its kinda depressing near the end.

Carl Cthulhu is watching.

I'm suspicious of Spirited Away. It IS handled by Disney after all, who knows what they've broken?

... that's an interesting concept. o.o ... Do you mind if I use it?

"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."
"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

dictionary.com wrote:ronin
\Ro"nin"\, n. [Jap. r[=o]-nin, fr. Chin. lang profligate, lawless + j[^e]n (old sound n[=i]n) man.] In Japan, under the feudal system, a samurai who had renounced his clan or who had been discharged or ostracized and had become a wanderer without a lord; an outcast; an outlaw.
An example would be Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. However, he would be the example of a good ronin.

Actually, I think a contemporary definition for "ronin" just happens to be that, someone who's of college age who's trying to get into college but for some reason haven't passed their entrance exams. I've also seen that defintion used in Maison Ikkoku

Yo Mav, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish but Hirschoff had the best sig trends of all time.
Re: Anime Recommendation List
This will be predictable... *grins*
My fave Anime:
Wolf's Rain
Why?
A) It Has wolves
B) It has some incredible animation quality
C) It has a very nice, deep multi-threaded plot.
D) You can clearly see it took a LOT of time and effort to produce
It's basically set 300 years in the future, in a post apocalyptic world, wolves have been extinct for 200 years, or so it is thought...
I think it's remotely sci-fi with a lot of action, and well, wolves. All very well done, with a killer soundtrack too.
