No, but if it keeps businesses from leaving, then more jobs will be saved.

I'm no doomsday sayer. I'm just saying it's gonna be a hell of a job to pull it off. And the issue of bussinesses not coming into the state right after taxes get lowered is real. Sure it might prevent some from leaving.. but that's not enough i think.

What I was trying to say that speaking for physical education or helping handicapped kids isn't really heavy politics. Sure it is important, no doubt, but if you read more clearly when I meant political experience I was talking about economics, foreign politics (which isn't specifically necessary when running for gouvernur) e t c...

You don't know California well. California routinely hosts foreign diplomats, and officials travel to other countries to meet with business and government leaders. While the state cannot make agreements with other nations, we can wine and dine them so they use their influence to push companies to set up here. Arnold has something going for him there, which is charm. The fact that he also speaks more than one language will help in dealing with Europeans.

That may be true, but if you are talking to someone in their own language, the comfort levels go straight up. The other person does not need to worry about using the wrong word or agreeing to something when they did not mean to. It helps prevent communication issues.
