Bustamante?

He wanted to raise taxes by another $8 billion to $10 billion.

He's in favor of driver's licenses for illegal immigrants.

He wanted the PUC to regulate gasoline prices.

He refused to distance himself from MEChA, an organization with stated goals of driving non-Hispanics out of the states that used to be part of Mexico and returning the land.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

Well, that MEChA thing sounds like they are invading already ;)

About the license stuff, we respect US driver's licenses in Mexico, even for tourists it's a common practice, so why not? :P I guess it won't hurt more than the consulate thingie.

About med services, if you're illegal, you don't pay taxes, so you have no right. I think illegals just want everything without giving back </opinion>.

I'm trying to look for an English article about CA-MX electricity Martin, I suppose it would be good. So far, all I found is:

Martin: Isn't that 'orginization' a mexican verson of the KKK? (Not as violant, but just as extreme, well ok maybe as violant...I'm not sure)

I think that annoucement that Cruz was part of MEChA was like a kick in the shin. Then the 'big' debate between the major canadates. Wow was that good.

Greg: I'm glad you voted for Arnold. I would have done the same given I lived in California. (I understood most of the situation in california, as I have spoken to many people online from that state and received a better understanding)

Alright, yeah, I was only being sarcastic and getting the cheap joke before someone else could. Well, anyways, I would rather not have arnold as the governator but there is no doubt in my mind that he was the best choice from what we had. Did any of you guys listen to the alternatives?

It was either him, Cruz (just don't like him, there is more to it but just too much), McClintock (OMFG, the guy is a total hypocrite!) and Mr. Apocalypse guy. The last guy you wouldn't know unless you read the statements that were sent through the mail. Again, it is wierd to have him as governor but we had Ronald Reagan as president and he didn't do all that bad (by the way, I don't like Ronald, he just wasn't that bad) so give arnold a chance. Please, don't stop with the jokes, just don't lose hope for the country. At least this governor isn't out to destroy california like Gray Davis and if he does he can always go back in time and fix it. (sorry, but I thought the last pun was gold)

The issue isn't honoring Mexican DLs...The issue is issuing Californian drivers licenses to illegal aliens. A number of issues come into play here...Most glaring in my eyes is the simple fact that if you know that someone is here illegaly how do you allow them to take part in a legal service. How do we have this two-faced system where if we feel like it we can send the INS to your door to deport you but if we don't we'll give you a drivers license, in state tuition for college (Illinois does this too...according to another unenforced federal law if a state gives in state tuition to illegals it must also give this to all US residents regarless of state of residence) and other benefits. I don't want to get into the whole immigration issue here...In fact I'm pro nearly open immigration. I just don't like a system that will openly ignore certain laws.

Okay...done ranting...

Well I am out here in MA, so i don't completely understand waht is going on out there in Cali, but honestly, I say give him a chance. He seems to have actually done his research on this before he entered, and seems like he could actually do some good. I don't know if he could erase the entire debt that Davis caused, but he could sure as hell get alot of it "Erased" (Sorry had to...) BTW I was wondering, what iis the law concerning a Govonerner coming in mid term, can he still run his two regular terms, or does this one one count towards his two terms?

I agree: give Arnold a chance! I really don't know how good a job he'll do, and, hey, guess what? Neither does anyone else! So at least give a reason when posting opinions like that! I do, however stand by three principles:

1. Everyone is an idiot and doesn't know what's good for them.

2. Arnold getting elected is hilarious.

3. Really, really hilarious.
In the end though, it's really the bees that get Sam.

4. It is seriously the funniest thing ever to happen to this state... and that is saying something.

I am against the illegal immigrant's getting licenses. The idea behind it is that there are so many immigrants that they should be allowed to become part of the country. The problem is that the only reason why they are illegal immigrants for the most part is because it is the stupidest thing to get citizenship. Maybe we should happen to make simple english as a prerequisite to getting into the state and not memorizing the entire american history. We need to change the citizenship tests to where they measure if you can be an american and not a historian.

Well I was just reading on cnn.com that Arnold is already planning on repealing the car tax law Davis instituted, plus he is announcing his transition team today. And thus the plot thickens.

<sarcasm>Did you know when an austrian became that powerful (even more powerful than the austrian chancellor) the last time? 70 years ago!</sarcasm>

(As mentioned, the above statement is not to be taken serious, thanks).

I think I read a nice comparisson the other day.
If you had to have a rootcanal treatment, or you needed a teeth pulled, would you go to a dentist or Bruce Willis ?
Arnold had better have a real good team of advisors cause getting California out of this deficit without raising taxes, and even cutting that car tax requires some kinda miracle.

Jim: That was one sorry joke you pulled. And Arnold ain't even German, so it didn't make much sense either.

All I can say is go Arnold! If I knew what happend at the gym 26 years ago for sure and Arnold was actually involved, I think I would change my opinion but for now...

DJ Nautinto: Neither was hitler. Both were originally austrian.
Not that it matters, what arnold said was taken totally out of context. All he said was he admired that hitler was a great speaker. And this can't be denied.
