Probably a good indicator that the stream isn't up. We aren't on 24/7.
You can check the stream status at http://prdns.com:8000

Who remembers the old Real Life Radio? The GLB shows? The Aussie DJs? (okay, fine, there was like 2 or 3 of us, but there was a ton of talented DJs)
Essentially what we've become is a group of online DJs with no server to DJ on. Now, not everyone has a kickass server, and I understand this fully, I'm trying to appeal to those few out there who do, to help us bring back what was once a strong point of this community.
I'm even willing to draw up a new site, with DJ rosters, playlists, and hell, maybe even a forum. I have hosting for that, we have an IRC channel, we just don't have a shoutcast server.
Is there anyone out there that can help?
DJ Vader, signing off.

Welp, I bought us a shoutcast server. 10 Listeners Peak at 48kbps. Listen url is http://grace.fast-serv.com:8118/listen.pls
Get on IRC for DJing info.
I could use some help paying for the hosting since I'm poor, especially if we decide to upgrade the bitrate or number of listeners. If you feal generous paypal to RealLifeRadio@gmail.com

Uh, before you ask for donations, you might want to clarify some things such as how much it costs, where the money will go (let's say it goes over the cost: will it go towards buying more slots, higher bit-rates, obtaining songs from an online vender like iTunes, etc), if it has any effect on the donator acting as a DJ, etc.

Not expecting anything anyway.
Currently we have a 48kb/s stream, which are rated at $1 per listener. 10 listeners at a time so $10 a month from me (or donations) for now, will upgrade if people donate. Could also use it to up the bitrate, which costs more per listener, or get a multi-bitrate stream. Any number of options. Music is supplied by the DJ's, so it won't be for that. Money will not be taken by me or any other DJ adn will soley go to the shoutcast station. Any leftover funds will be held over for later months payment, and if there is any money left over when (and if) the station dies again the leftover will be handeled somehow that seems fairly.
Again, I do not expect anything, was just an idea.

The server just does that on occassion, i've noticed it on a variety of machines connecting, think its the same problems as causes server-burps (where people get kicked for no reason)
I say that at the end, if there is money which can keep it going, then it isnt the end, if whoever is in charge at that point decides to stop, then others can take over, i'm sure there wont be a lack of interest in it

What would it take to get Greg, Liz, and Matt to do more RLR?
