Halo Pc

Post by foote_soldier » Wed Oct 15, 2003 1:15 am

I'm sure theres been more then enough posts about The Pc version Of Halo, this isn't really about the game as much as buying it, or is it worth it to buy it?

Think about it, its just Halo with a couple new features..which sound really cool ( I want a fuel rod cannon :D) But its still Halo, the game we've all played to death! I mean, I don't even own an X-box and i know the game inside-out on legendary. Is it really worth buying? Thats the question!

What should i do?

/me notes that no-one answered the question. Just made moving jokes.

I don't know either, just thought I'd point that out. :P

I played the *ahem* 'extended demo' and was not quite charmed by it. I seemed like 40% Doom (lot's a coridoors), 45% Serious Sam (walk into area, get an insane ammount of monsters, kill them, move to next area, repeat) and 5% fun. Multi-play is supposed to be fun, but I'm not much of a multi-player (unless it's Tribes). If they'd focus more on freedom of movement and more on the buggy/airplane-thingy it would've been lot's of more fun. I really digged the world because I love Larry Niven's writing, but the backstory, although original, was a bit of a letdown because it wasn't incorperated into the game enough. I still was just 'run around, kill monsters, press this button, go there' kind of gameplay.
