I take latin and I can PROVE that v is w I is j/y e.g.(exsempli gratia) e is pronounced ah ae is pronounced eye... etcetera( pronounced etketera)
I take latin too, and the V is PRONOUNCED "W" but in the alphebet, it takes the place of the letter "U" and considering we're all online, the pronunciation doesn't really matter, does it? oh and also, it's "exemplum gratia" there's no "s" and the cases are correct because it's using the possesive, which in this case, ends up being "a" on a noun that ends in "um" try making sure your information is correct before telling other people that they're wrong.
and my username comes from when I first started playing Diablo II and I wanted to name my sorc "sorc" (yeah i know how original) but it was taken, and a "u" kinda looks like an "o" so I decided to go with it, and i've been using it for just about everything ever since.

Don't be so humble. You are not that great.
I started using N because it was shorter than my real name, then I realized that no one uses it anywhere. no http://www.n.com, no n's in online games, nothing. Well now there is.

Mavolent is just a made up word. I needed to choose a name for my hotmail account way the hell back in the day picked a couple random letters and arranged then till it turned out to mavolent...., tho most people confuse it with Malevolent which is a real word....
It is? Huh. I've seen a lot of moderately intelligent people spell it as one word...
Forget intelligent people, the ones you want to trust for this stuff are the pedants, because you can be sure they have looked it up... several times.. on three different sources.

Hmm... this was originally my thread but I think someone else started another of these here on the new forum as well. Oh well. *copies her previous post from her thread*
Once upon a time, 12 years ago, a high school girl used to run track and cross country. One day while lounging around in the gym during play practice a friend dubbed her "Cheetah Woman". This name seemed to stick and was used for various RPG games (pen and paper in those days) for years.
Two years ago she discovered the world of the internet and, more importantly, Diablo 2. She needed an account name for Battle.net. Cheetah was taken so, being a teacher at the time, she added the "Miss" in front and there you have it. MissCheetah.
It probably helps that I can purr as well
