You might not remember me but I imported FFXI back in May when u ran the strip about it. Thanks to you and Liz, I got a World Pass to the Ragnarok server. Well, I played it for about a week and cancelled my account in July, but the game sure was fun while I had it. I even managed to get a World Pass for someone else that I met on the forums.

Like you, I just couldn't get into the game because I didn't have any idea what was going on. Well, with the North American release coming up I've decided to give it another go. I did the same preparations over the weekend; I reformatted my HD, reco'd my PC to my 36" monitor, and hooked up my wireless kb, wireless optical mouse, wireless headphones, and wireless controller.

FFXI? Bring it on.

Sounds like a pretty nice setup you have there, Sever.. Have fun with FFXI, I probably wont play it, mostly because of the subscription cost, but have fun with it ^.^

Im most definatly gonna play ffxi but the whole world pass thing is gonna be annoying. We should have all RL people get all the word passes they can and post them to here so we can all get on the same server. 5 passes per person for 1 week.

A cool idea would have an online world pass request forthe server everyone decides to play on. Have a query DB that can grab a submited pass when someone requests one then erase it. Just need a lil mSQL, php magic.

Heya!

I am eagerly waiting on getting the game in a scant 34 Hours myself =)

Joining the 'Real Life Linkshell' like you mentioned in the main page would be highly fun and interesting, as it's the Final Fantasy XI strips that initally hooked me on your comics (coming full circle, it would seem).

Will there be any prerequisites on joining the linkshell, save being on the same server? :D
