Graphic Apps?

Q&A, advice, reviews, and news about the computers, phones, TVs, stereos, and pretty much anything else that can't be easily whittled out of a stick or chipped out of stone.

I use Corel photopaint and Adobe Photoshop.
Of course PS can do way more than PP can do, but PP has a few nice tricks that PS cant do out of the box (like fractal fills)
I played around with GIMP a little on my laptop, just as difficult to learn as PS, but it also has tricks of its own to play with too.

Hmm... guess you guys don't want me to bother showing you where I found a bunch of exporters and stuff for GMax, do you?

But what do they export as? The biggest problem that tons of people have had is finding a .3ds exporter. If not then don't bother, I've found tons fo them that export to formats I have no use for (except .md3, that works nice for what I do...)

I saw all that, but I've got 3DSMax v5 Anywho, so I figured... why not just use it :-)

I like how GIMP script-fu can interact with perl and allow you to control it thru a web page. People have made web sites where you can create simple logos online using this.

http://www.cooltext.com is an example of a GIMP powered web site.

Well I was more or less talking about "out of the box" experience. I could get both PS and gimp to do whatever with the right plugins XD
