I agree that Disney needs a restraining order against Phil Collins. I saw Brother Bear this weekend, and his nasally voice really didn't work for this movie. The scene in the snow between Kenai and Koda toward the end would have been much better served by a lyricless orchestral piece than Phil caterwauling out a few lines. (I can understand why they opted for music rather than dialogue, as that would have been tricky... I can't comment more on it without spoilers).

It seems, though, every time Disney tries to go out on a ledge with their stories and artwork, they get bitch-slapped at the box office. The bulk of their market seems to tell them they don't want creative artwork or story lines that break their formula. I wouldn't be surprised if one reason Treasure Planet tanked was because it had a male lead rather than some spunky would-be princess who was something of a mistfit before Prince Charming came along and made her whole.

Oooh.. Mulan. Now I'm gonna have to go back and watch that again. That's one o f my top 3 Disney movies, along with Lilo & Stitch and Emperor's New Groove.

If they're going to stop releasing 2D movies, maybe they'll start bringing in more stuff from overseas like Mononoke and Spirited Away.

Perfect Blue. "It's animated, it must be a kid's movie!"

A lot of parents complained about the radish spirit in Spirited Away... saying their kids thought it was scary.

I guess their kids are wussies.

These same kids, it should be mentioned, think the sun is going to eat them after watching too much Teletubbies.

Why don't we let them watch Jackass and see if the filter on the gene pool will do its work?

Because then we get to test if the legal system's filter on "wrongful death" lawsuits works properly...

"Your TV show demonstrated that surfing down a hill on a shopping cart injured the host, but when my kid tried it, he 'surfed' into a tree and died! He was going to grow up to become a doctor and make us millions of dollars! We want your - er, that - MONEY!!!"

Unfortunately, there is no open season on stupid people that I'm aware of. We can only dream...
