I would need a gamer for a girlfriend, otherwise I have no humor she'd get, she would complain about me playing games all the time. things like that
"Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: whatever is soft is strong."

It's okay.

Actually, i guess i have no room to talk. i feel silly now, because when i find a guy that's also a gamer, i feel better knowing i can talk to him about all my gaming obsessions. There was one guy i was interested in, but he thought D&D was for losers, needless to say, nothing ever worked out. We never had anything to talk about.

Yes, and if they have never watched Monty Python, Quest for the Holy Grail, I am so screwed. I love many of their lines. LuvThing never did get any of them. One of the many reasons I am glad she broke up with me.
"Bring me the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!"
"Is it behind the rabbit?" "It is the rabbit."
"There are those that call me...... Tim?"
"On second thought, let's not go there. It is a silly place."
"Help! Help! I'm being REPRESSED!" "Bloody peasant!"
"I'm not dead yet!"
That and all the old D&D stories I have. She never understood them.
Then there was the fact that she actually watched television as opposed to using the TV for the purpose it was intended: VIDEO GAMES!
Yeah, common interests are important, but so are personality quirks. You have to have both or things do not work out.

I don't care who's right, who's wrong, or what you meant to say. Only thing I care about is the Truth. If you have it, good, share it. If not, find it. If you want to argue, do it with someone else.

Re: Do girls play video games?
Alright, I own a store - we rent and sell video games... out of hundreds of gamers, a handful of them are female. Why is that? The majority of games are geared towards men. Some women can look past the clevage and skin-tight-leather outfits and see a fun game waiting inside - but others can't get past that. Most, if not all, of the female gamers I know like either fighting games or puzzle games (a combination of the two happens too)... There are exceptions, I know that there are some really hardcore gamer-girls out there.
Honsotly though, Grav will game, but she avoids large gaming gatherings just for the reason that she's sick and tired of being drooled about just because she has boobage. Get over it people!
I'll have to give you this one grav, maybe you're not so bad after all.
Edit:
Also, of course there are girl gamers, what else would account for the success of DDR or The Sims.

Lose the racist speech. Permanently. I don't care if you think you're making a point, or being sarcastic, or even funny. It ends now.

meh...I know more guys that play DDR than women. As a matter of point, where I usually play DDR at (has 3rd, 3rd+, 4th, 5th, Max, Extreme), there are usually 15 guys to 1 or 2 women playing.
