I don't get that many guys actually coming up to me when I'm in an arcade or browsing games somewhere. They probably stare, but if they do, I don't notice that much. I'm usually too busy drooling over Soul Calibur II or Deus Ex or UT or something. My game genres of choice tend to be fighting and FPS, though I'll play just about anything. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have people to frag.

Yeah, the only times i really go into a gaming store is to pick up some dice or possibly a new game i've really been wanting to buy. I used to to to gaming stores every friday, but i was in the back room playing D&D, so the other people couldn't really see me.

I know just as many game girls as boys.
Lets see today at Gumdo.
her "10am?! thats to early!"
me "What, what do you do all night?"
her "Um I wanted to play kingdom hearts."
me "...."

later...

me "Are you going to by X-2?"
her "I might but I want to get megaman x7, megaman "something", and megaman "something" etc. etc."
me "um... ok.."

I know another girl who is a GM on a private RO server and then 3 more that play alot as well.

Today she asked if the master played any games. He said starcraft and rogue spear, and tekken. :P She told him to buy more PS2 games made by square-enix. heh

[quote="MissCheetah";p="220001"]See but not all girls like that one mentioned above are Lesbians or unattractive. Really they do exist. Some of them even like sci-fi books, fantasy books, cars, and motorcycles as well.

Ok, do you, like, memorize every post ever made, or are you just specifically stalking her in particular?
Not that a similar thought didn't cross my mind, but I didn't want to say anything to someone with an education which leads to poison and mutation. My cubicle neighbour has a bio degree, and often insists on describing for me how they
a) killed the mice for the experiments
b) removed assorted tissues
c) replaced other tissues
d) What he ate for lunch immediately following such operations.

Anywho, back on topic, how many girls here consider themselves oldskool?
Does nostalgia play as important a role for you as it does for many guys, seeing as how the generic typecasting of the male gamer is that of one grown up on games, whereas girls tend to grow into them later in life?
Why DO you go to the washroom in pairs? Sumo wrestling, right?
On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy.

For people I take an interest in (I consider MC one of my good friends from this forum), I do remember statements of exceptional notice or things that vary greatly from the norm. Her statement vehemently against marriage struck me as odd and I recalled it. A simple use of the forum Search function brought up the post I recollected. There are others, but that was the most recent.

Besides, hard to stalk someone halfway across the bloody country. :P

>Actually, playing that game still just means that you have good taste. Now try and beat it under 8 hours; while you're at it, see if you can beat Link to the Past in under 2 hours.<

I can beat OoT in under 8 hours. And have done it. I don't always play it in one marathon stretch though. Link to the PAst is another story. I usually get peeved at the crappy light with my gba that I have to stop after about 30 minutes. Yes I know there are good lights available and SP but that all requires money.

Those aren't gamers, those are pictures from magazines with little gaming logos slapped on them. Some are actually gamers, yes, but most of the finalists..no way
