Hitler was great.
You have to ask. Did Mandor say things to specifically provoke negative responses from anyone? Nope. The example is pretty blatant in what trolling really is, and Mandor hardly does
that.
If you say Mandor should be banned for trolling, then it only stands to reason that everyone who's ever disagreed with the majority also be banned. Somehow, I doubt the forums would have quite the zing and appeal that they do now if that happened.

In this particular case, no, he didn't. To say that he has not done so many times before is laughable - for christ's sake, he got a thread locked for it yesterday.
Look, I'm not asking for him to be banned. I don't /like/ it when people get banned. But saying that there isn't /grounds/ for him to be banned is silly.
Edit: I replied before seeing Zen's post. I don't delete my own posts, ever, under any circumstances - it sits wrong with me, somehow; I said something, and I'll bear the repurcussions for it - but I didn't intend to continue on an out-of-bounds subject.
Here I am, to sing you a song. And there you are, asleep against the windowpane, just like always.

That thread got locked because a whole group of anal idiots chose to take offense about some, rather benign, comment and felt like they had to make some pathetic attempt at flaming me, most likely for the sole purpose of getting on that chick's good side. I don't think that I should be banned because some people have no control over their hormones, or because they don't know how to take anything which is not some blatant worship.

The message seems to have been missed.
Allow me to restate it:

So, back to the topic..
Skorpion: I think it would just be wise to give up on those boards. But, if you really want to be back there, you might talk to the admin that you like and that likes you and explain to him what happened. I, personally, don't recommend revenge or ban evasion though.

Kinda. I knew one person on there offline, but the rest were online-only.
The admin has banned more people, and we're starting a new board without him.
Ban evasion has proved impossible. The IP ban got my school's proxy server.
The old admins that would be sympathetic didn't have time for the place anymore, leading to mr. dumbass getting power.

It's over. We won.
The idiot resigned as admin, unbanned everyone, and returned the board to it's original state.
The people who won the poll have been put in as admins.
w00t.

How exactly did that happen? Did the forum activity drop to 0, was he flammed to high heaven, or was he tired of banning people?

A combination of all three, it seems. A load of old people came back, flamed him, then left again, after the regulars disspeared.
