What?
Lose the racist speech. Permanently. I don't care if you think you're making a point, or being sarcastic, or even funny. It ends now.
A. He did it right near the end of Woodstock, he ran out, jumped, sucked his knees in, and started playing
B. Actually, it's the ohter way around here. 1 row of rock, 6 rows of hip hop.
C. That's a very ignorant comment. Rap music is hugely diverse, just as diverse as rock. There are tons of categories, along with freestyle, which you won't find with rock anywhere. Also, alot of the categories for rock aren't really rock, but thought to be. Shamrock, for example, is considered a category of folk.
ok...I guess I'm beating a dead horse here, but w/e.
A) I don't remember seeing him jump. Was this on the Woodstock video of just him, or the director's cut thing?
B) That's odd, because I go to plenty of places, even in cities were it's mostly hip-hop rappers, and their is still more rock rows than rap. Where do you live?
C) Umm yes you can find freestyle in rock. A solo is usually improv, which is freestyling. If you have ever seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers live, Flea (the bassist) lays down a random bassline, and then Chad (the drummer) puts in a beat. John (the guitarist) starts making funky chord progressions and solo's over it. It's all "freestyle." Jimi Hendrix on the Woodstock concert has a freestyle session. If your talking about just rapping, you can easily find that too. Limp Bizkit and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are good examples.
Well let's see...theres punk rock (Blink-182, Good Charlette), theres regular rock (Maroon 5, Audioslave), theres 60's-70's rock (Led Zepplin, The Who), Ska (Don't know any bands off the top of my head), Slow Rock (RCHP, Sugar Ray), Funk Rock (Old stuff by the Chili Peppers), Heavy Metal and Metal bands (I don't really listen to this stuff to much), Shredders (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani) Latin Rock (Santana), Blues Rock (Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton) Rap Rock (Limp Bizkit, Smash Mouth, Red Hot Chili Peppers)
I mean seriously this is just what I can think of off the top of my head. I can't think of half as many rap categories.

Maroon 5 is not regular rock in the slightest, except for the only song you've ever heard from them (which is in no way representitive of the album.). Listen to their album, and you'll know exactly what I mean.
SIG TREND OF THE MONTH IS BLANK SIGS BECAUSE I GOT LAZY AND DIDN'T MAKE THE THING AND STUFF.

A. I have no idea, I don't pay attention to this things. I know I got it off Kazaa, and it said "Jimmi Hendrix Woodstock Live". That's it.
B. Dedham, MA
C. Then you aren't thinking hard enough. There are enough categories of rap to choke a horse. Assuming you wrote them on paper or something... I don't know WHERE I'm going with that metaphore. And I'm with Am... Anyone referring to GC and Blink as punk must die.

When people ask me what my favorite band is, I make up a name, because if I say a real band, they will be all like "Dude, they ain't punk, they sold out. You're not hardcore." </sarcasm>
Just because a band likes to get exposure and make money and shit, doesn't make them not punk.

And all I will say on that is: You used the word punk in your description of the band. Thus, they are punk. Even if it is a "different type" of punk.Mista - It's not punk. It's pop punk. VERY poppy punk.

Okay I have a question. If a guy says that he'd never date a black woman because black women aren't attractive to him, is he racist? Or just really picky? Because I'm like 1/20 black and I was given this reason as to why my attraction to him was in vain.
Oh, and can we notice most stereotypes suck? I mean, we hate to be labeled, but there are so many uncreative people that make being a certain race hard. Coming from a private school I learned the following:
blacks are loud and ignorant.
whites are trashy but snobbish and the women are sluts.
asians are all very intelligent and will rule the world some day.
mexicans are dirty.
These are NOT my opinions. These are the ideas that tend to float around in peoples heads. But you must admit that sometimes it is true. But I've always thought it was a culture difference not to mention a family difference. In the long run I never worried much about race, and it really confuses me sometimes because black people are sometimes racist too. When slavery was in, if you were like 1/30 black then you were still black and you were still property. Today, I find that a large amount of my "completely" black family and the people I run into at school think that I am not black enough. I remember being interrupted once by a complete stranger who saw me talking to my black cousin at a family reunion. She said "Girl what you doin here? You talk too smart so you must be white" <-- and that's almost a direct quote. I think she just implied that an intelligent black person can't exist. But I digress. I just wanted to ask my question.
(Oh btw I can't be racist because i'm white/black/asian/native american so I have no room to talk)

I don't think it is racist. People are just more attracted to certain races than others. For me, it is like I have different standards for different races. I look at women of my own races (I'm hispanic/white) with a lower standard than say a black or asian women. It doesn't mean I don't like them, but I look at them differently. For one thing, I think Asian girls are hot, but compared to a white/hispanic girl of equal hottness, I measure their hottness to a higher standard. It may be a biological or pschological thing or something. I don't know.
