I used to get some of those too. I recommend you tell them what I told them. I stopped getting statements about telling other users what to do because of it.

They just single out women? That's pretty....pathetic.

I'm pretty sure 100% of people lie, no matter what they claim. Leaving your man if he has a one night stand is immoral? Well, gee, I guess that would make me immoral.

Quietus, I enjoy Fixer's newsposts as do many others. If people are really being as petty and whiny as you say, then I don't see why you should talk to them. As Fixer said, they can put him on ignore if they have a problem with him for some reason.

Perhaps you and these many others should consider reading ananova.com directly then, because it's definitly not like the one-liner worthless banality Fixer joins to the link adds anything to its interest.

It's true that Fixer's comments give a lot of usefull and thought provoking information about the content of the news he links to, as opposed to ananova.com which doesn't introduce them at all. Furthermore, I'm sure it's a lot more convenient to browse through a burst of worthless links, hopping that by some miracle you will stumble upon something remotely interesting, rather than to check out the source directly.

Ha! That article is great, even if we knew those facts all along. What's crazy is that those same women will go on and on about how a relationship is based on "trust", etc, and say that men are pigs, and on and on.
The follies which a man regrets the most in his life are those which he didn't commit when he had the opportunity. - Helen Rowland, A Guide to Men, 1922

Evil is neither men nor women specific.. it is not gender based; the same goes for stupidity. The topics have nothing to do with what gender a person is and everything to do with the fact that they both pertain to people. "Modern women lie, flatter, and have affaris." Yeah, that is great.. but, so do men. Do we really need a survey to tell us that a great number of people are untrustworthy? No, no we don't; because, many of us already know this from firsthand encounters. And, do we really think that this solely pertains to people of this day and age? We shouldn't. There were people back in our great-great-great-great grandparents' time that lied, cheated, stole and were basically untrustworthy.

"But, Circe.. there are more people and women that do these things today than there were back then."

That may be true. However, there is a considerable amount more people this day and age too. Morals seem to have declined and many people don't teach their children right from wrong anymore. We also have more media these days that publicize all the negative going on in the world, less consequences (in some ways,) and more things are actually acceptable to talk about nowadays.

Now, I beseech you, my fellow forum members, to quit generalizing about one sex over another, one culture versus another, race, age, etc. It does not matter where you go or who you are with, there will be the same types of people and personalities there too. My basic point is .. people are human. Nobody is perfect.. we all do stupid stuff, it is just the magnitude and actual acts vary.
Nothing tears apart a family like a pack of rabid wolves.
