Wild Arms 2 had a nice video sequence triggered by loading a file from a memory card. It got better on the second disc.

For a while, I liked the Lunar SSS opening music&video sequence (does that count as an AMV?).

Syndicate Wars' was very nice, even in it's primitive 3d graphics days. Xenogears or Chrono Cross would have to be my favorite though

Its not really that great but its really cool
LOTR two towers how it starts with the move than near perfectly changes to the game.
I know there a better one but GAH WHAT WAS IT!
ZOE no that Was preety cool though.
ACE Combat 4 not the acctual game but when you star up the game, like turn it on, but its still not it! But is is still pretty awsome
medal of honor Front line, that was the best fist level in game history

Now I remember Armored core 3 before you get to the main menu that is awsome.

MGS2 was really good. I loved watching it over and over.
Another one would be TXR0. It had pretty good short intro with a Skyline and an NSX.
Even though I didn't like FFVIII that much, the intro for that game is one of my favorites.

there are a whole bunch of games that had great intros. These are a few of my favorites:

Chrono Trigger (nastalgia...drool drool)
Chrono Cross
Metal Gear Solid 2 (very well made)
Xenogears (especially after you play it again after beating the game)
Devil May Cry (bit cheesy but still good)
FFVIII (game was bad but the intro was still cool)

but, my favorite for the moment would have to be Kingdom Hearts.....the intro was awesome and the song helped some.

No, though. Probobly Broodwar, except that it lacks cetain... ummm.... aspects, which can be readily found in the other title.
