Gender Genie

Post by Alex » Fri Dec 19, 2003 11:13 pm

I thought I'd just throw this out for fun. Go ahead and read up on it if you want, but I just like messing around with it.

BTW, I just wanted to let folks know that, unless Gravity is a guy, everything said by Grav breaks the machine. @.@
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inablity of the human mind to correlate all of it's contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should travel too far.

According to that thing, Smaointe's journal entries were written by a male...

Hm, I got male on everything when I put the first two paragraphs of the description of this shop: http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml ... mansion_ii

I got female for fiction and nonfiction when I put in the entire thing, but male for blog entry. It's more of an advertisement than a blog entry, so I guess the last one doesn't apply...still...I feel all hurty. :(

I think "the" being masculine skews everything. Really, in writing you'll say that "the person knocked at the door," when the person was mentioned before in a story or a character was expecting him or her.

How would my siggy look if you replaced "the" with "a?"

Fairly certain I've seen it before; pegged me as female, last time.

My first entry was right. I think I am going to keep on making entrys tell it is close to even or it says it was writen by a female.

{EDIT} I just did it. I think I will post the poem I wrote in the forum.

I threw Alex's post to it into it. It decided that Alex is a woman.

I'll have to go and find one of the more long-winded things I've written and see what it thinks I am.

Nifty. Every single one of my journal entries is extremely male. :P

I entered my posts.... When I was talking about Trans-Siberian Orchestra, it gave me male, but everything else was female as I was mostly talking about either my dad or friends.

If it guesses the gender wrong you probably should type a longer text for it to evaluate.

Yep, I was a male...after some careful changing of some words... *yoink*
Me: Oh my God! A tray of brownies...of death.
Dick Tracy: I have no place in this signature
Me: Hey! Hey! I'm not paying you to talk! I'm paying you to dance around like Freddie Mercury! Now..dance, pilgrim!
Dick Tracy: Nynnyoyen?! (not a word)
