Dad has started keeping one of our .22's in his nightstand, instead of the gun cabinet. He keeps the clip loaded and in the gun, but not actually locked into position, so it can't just be accidentally fired. And it's got a solid action on it. It's double action, but you have to cock it once to put a round into the chamber, obviously, and it's just not something a kid couild do.

Actually, when I saw that pistol the first thing that came to mind was: "Cute!"

Aren't there low-velocity rubber bullets or something that you could use?

What exactly is the point of a weapon with the key to the trigger lock on someone else's keys?

Because its not going to be used as a weapon.. we go shooting every now and then and she is going to use it to shoot at a target... so she will get the key to it when we go shooting...
