Just a simple Philosophical question....
I've heard of a few philosophy proffessors that have asked this question, and I would like to know how you people would respond in an exam setting.
I would like to thank all those who participate in advance.

Re: Just a simple Philosophical question....
I've heard of a few tests that remind me of this. Here are a couple of essay questions and answers that were given that recieved an A:
What is the key to communication?
Brevity.
What is courage?
This.

What is courage?
This.

"Why what?" would be my response to it, because "why" in general is not a question.
As for the meaning of life: find it yourself, as there is not an overall Meaning-With-A-Big-M.

"Because" or so that urban legend of the philosophy teacher goes. Of course, whenever I heard it, it was always attested as true. Philosophy teacher lists this as the only question on an exam and the only person to recieve an A wrote "Because" as the only answer. (Much like the examples Long Quan gave)
A man can have no better epitaph than that which is written on the hearts of his friends.
"..none of these things, I say, can make a man happy, unless he can win one more victory in addition to those the world thinks so great - the victory over himself."
