Better get used to PTs and learning how to get into/form good ones. Because no one is going to be able to power level you past certain quests and missions and the BCNMs forever.

Both are good, but i think the PC one is better, cause it costs less. When the PS2 version comes out i will be in jeuno most of the time, i will get WAY too many examines. And too many newbs are gonna die in Ronfaure (No offence but its true =/) I just hope we dont loose Ronfaure...

Eh, it's all in how you look at it as far as the cost goes. I mean you get a brand spankin new 80 Gig hard drive for your trouble. Sp, really it's more like you're paying $50 for FFXI, and $50 for a proprietary hard drive.

Lucky bastard. I wish i could go to Jeuno, and I wish I had a reason for people to check. I'm leveling soooo slowly. But, I'm kinda glad I'll be around, cause at the rate I level I may be able to help some people out. I'm hoping to teach some people what I've learned from some friends of mine and from experience. That's been the nicest thing about this game was how nice everyone can be. With eveyone hiding in Jeuno it looks like its up to people like me who just don't have much time to play to teach eveyone who's getting the game about ettiquette and renkei's and such.

Oh, you'd better believe that Ronfaure will fall...and Gustaberg....and Sarutabaruta...and a week or so later, Zulkheim will fall...as will Kolshushu...and then things will probably stablize after that, 'cuz, well, the newbies will be in Qufim, and people of all walks of life drop like flies there anyways, especially since Big Bad Behemoth makes his home on the far end of the island. ;)

One thing's for sure; high-levels will be in high demand in the newbie areas to save the peoples from the numerous trains that'll no-doubt be brought to each and every zone. The thing I'm gonna hate the most though is the Raise-begging (WHM33/BLM15...ACK!!! x_x).

But hopefully the turmoil and the not having the newbie areas or monsters to kill will pass in a month or so as people get away from these areas or quit the game out of frustration and shoot their mouth off about "yet another EQ clone" or whatever bull flop they wanna believe.

I love being a level 38 RDM. Most newbs don't realize that RDM can cast Raise too at higher levels and therefore don't ask you. Only the more experienced players know that they can ask the RDM for help.

Plus, in Valkrum at least, I can easily take on any of the mobs in there (except maybe Bogies, I haven't tried them yet - and probably won't if I can possibly avoid it, Curse sucks). Makes raising people much easier, since I can eliminate any Goblins that happen to be in the area. :)

Now I just need to hit level 41 so I can pick up Refresh and I'll be happy. :)

LOL. That's horrid. I'm amazed at some people in this game. Really and truely, most of the people in Valkum and under don't really need raises. They should have their homepoints set near wherever they die anyways, and hte XP loss isn't too bad. Most of the time, in the amount of time spent waiting for a raise you could have just gone back to your hp and ran back.

I'd rather get the PS2 version, since I have 2 Bros who fight over the computer ALOT. One of them is a Instant Messanger Addict, so that leaves me with very little time to play on the computer. On the other hand, with the PS2, I have Alot of time. 12 1/2 Hours total on a school day. Weekends can be till whenever.

Ah yes, I remember those days. Like 5 years ago or so. God I love college. But seriously though, the PS2 version might be nice because of the system requirements. I am hoping my roomate will get it for the PS2 so I can see if it's less buggy on that than my computer. My computer is kinda on the slow end at this point.

Eh, I thought raise restored 25% of your lost experience, but I haven't ever figured it out. That's just what I've heard.
