I don't think anyone has actually messed with Texas since the civil war. Give it a rest already. :P

Of course, I have to admit that the Vietnamese never once broke Texan airspace. I think you all know who was responsible for holding the lines there.

Look, if we didn't remind everyone not to mess with Texas, they'd forget and they'd start messing with Texas.

Actually, if you didn't keep reminding me that Texas existed, I would probably forget and be in no danger of messing with Texas. These constant reminders that Texas needs messing with, though, prevent that from happening.

I'll be sure to bring my dad's famous (hah) BBQ sauce. And I'll make sure he makes it too, cause whenever I make it it sucks.

SA seems to be the city decided. Yay!
Hell if he and everyone else didn't mind we could go out to my dad's place in La Vernia. Its maybe a 30 minute drive from my place in NE SA. He's got about 2 acres of land so there is plenty of room for anything we may or may not do. I'll have to pass the idea by him and see what he says.

If not, maybe at a park? MacArther Park or LBJ Park maybe?

I dunno I know mainly the NE side of town so someone else suggestion some places.

I'm in NNE SA, too (Thousand Oaks and Naco), but I work on the NNW side (De Zavala and I-10). I have no hook-ups as far as places to host it. La Vernia would be cool as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather not have it at a park, if possible, because it's easier to hang out and drink and prepare the BBQ in the comfort of someone's back yard. ...we will be drinking, right? I mean, I can bring beer and such, yes? How old are y'all?

Well.... about drinking (and smoking if some do) then maybe my dad's place isn't the best place. He's a bible-thumper and a cop.... He sure as hell wouldn't allow it on his property. Ok any other locations?

And I'm 20, I could still drink.... er um i mean.... nooooo I won't drink.

I'll only be 19 in early summer, but I have no objections to those who are legal drinking.

Yeah...I'm still foiled by that damn legal age. /me shakes fist at law. I would say my place, but 1) it's way too small, and 2) I don't think my 'rents would like a bunch of strangers hanging out at their house. Not to mention that drinking would be out of the question. But, I'm thinking MacArthur Park or McCallister Park. Probably wouldn't be smart to drink in that situation, but it would be a big enough place to get everybody together, not to mention that most of us don't seem to be of legal drinking age, so I doubt most of us would be drinking (I have no problem with minors drinking, so long as there is a responsible adult, i.e. parent around, 'cause it always seems that all the minors I know that drink don't know moderation, myself included in that group).

But, if anybody has a sizable backyard at their access, yes, that would be preferable. Maybe some of us San Antonians should get together to figure this one out. Whaddaya think?

Sounds good to me. Lets set up a meeting time and place. I got the next 5 days off of school/work so anytime then is good but that might be too early for others without notice. Make some suggestions people.

Oh and my favorite meeting places, taco cabana, jims, or denneys. But there are many many other good places.

EDIT: OR my work, Fuddruckers. I'm sure my bosses wounldn't mind us having a meeting there, plus I can probably get free drinks and discounts on food for everyone (hopefully). Only thing is that there its really nice to call in and reserve if theres going to be more than say 10 people. But I can take care of that fine.

No, that's smoking. Drinking is 9, unless it's "just beer," in which case it's whenever you can cush a can over you head.
