We did all sorts of stuff like that in High school. I made napalm out of soap and gas.

Napalm is Naphthalene and Palm oil.

You can make substances that react like napalm out of a lotta stuff, really. Like boiling gasoline with some styrofoam. (or at least, so I've heard)

React LIKE? Yes. However, the one major difference is that one is low yeild, and the other is very very very high yeild.
