[quote="StruckingFuggle";p="696142"]Sadly. It's tragic. I was so happy when I was in Wisconsin, walking to class in a light sweater through the snow ...

And then I'm back in Texas.

What?! What?!
I spent January walking a block everyday in -5F. This is fucking gorgeous. Perfect, even. Even the cold front on Wednesday night will be balmy in comparison.
Light sweater?! Snow?!
I would not say such things if I were you!

Being born and california and having lived in central texas for almost half my life has dulled my endurance of the chill, even though it has not tempered my love for it. Alas.

Score, score it's supposed to be 21 C today for the high. It ended up being around 24 C for Thanksgiving.
I'm going to miss the warm weather when it's actually, completely gone but having it in the 60s and 70s (and sometimes 80s) in Fahrenheit toward the end of November just seems kind of wrong. I should be used to it after living in Carlsbad for nearly 21 years, but geeze.

We got snow last night! Well, only one or two inches and it's quickly melting as I type this, but it's better than nothing.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

We got a light dusting - stuck to the cars, that's it - but it means that winter might be on the way. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not.

It's supposed to snow for the next three days here, and drop to -12F, but I think the weather website is lying.
Whatever it is, it's very cold and windy, and makes me not like having to go to class and back again. Especially with groceries (the only store in town that sells Tim's Cascade Potato chips is a little over two miles away).

Oh how I do enjoy a scorching red christmas...
It's getting hot here, and apparently we are going to have a very hot summer.

Hovering from low 20s to high 40s fahrenheit here.
I want to go skiing but it's not even cold enough for the dog's water dish to freeze.

...It's snowing. In Carlsbad.
There is snow on my lawn. I am ashamed to say that I almost didn't recognize what it was. I'm still not 100% positive about what I just saw out the window, but I'm not going outside to check.
...What am I saying? Fuck yes I am.
Edit: My eyes did not deceive me. It's coming down pretty hard too.
*giggle* I HAS SNOWFLAKES IN MY HAIR.

:D
Sorry for the kiddie-like glee but most of you just will not understand how rare the snow is- especially so early in the season.
Snow!

-11F, three inches of the white stuff on the ground, and my fingers can go numb in less than 30 seconds when I'm standing outside.
Damn you weather, invent some warmer snow!

RAR. How dare you people get snow before PA? I hate you. It was in the 50s today.
